Chad Kipfer

Senior Architect

Kind. Consistent. Playful.

Chad Kipfer has worked for two decades in the real estate development and design/build industries, focusing on land development, design, and residential construction to bring new communities to market. Chad has worked across all aspects of project development and executive management – acquisition, approval, construction, and sales – within one of the most demanding regulatory environments.

Chad has led more than 10 large community development projects from beginning to end and the construction of hundreds of residential units within a small team, wearing all the hats as needed. He has focused on master planning, entitlement, horizontal/vertical construction, and oversight of design teams.

Chad has extensive professional experience in getting developments through the entitlement process. Working from the developer’s perspective, Chad guided the design and entitlement process to make great places that are fiscally sound as well. He understands how to bring good design and market forces into alignment. He understands the market and brings good design into it to provide something that can physically work. Chad is adept at large-scale neighborhood master planning and is skillful in his collaborations with city staff and planners.

Chad researches current trends and opportunities to create sustainable, profitable, and clear strategies to bring unique development opportunities to the market. He sees the big picture and identifies approaches that create trust and successful outcomes.

A Colorado native, Chad grew up in Boulder and taught architecture at the University of Colorado. His mindfulness practice and emotional intelligence give him an approachable and honest leadership style. As a senior architect, Chad is a mentor to the younger staff members: he guides them and leans on them for their help in turn.
