Julian Fischer Frank

Architectural Associate

Inventive. Passionate. Woodworker.

Julian Fischer Frank is an environmentalist and humanitarian. He is fueled by his passion to fight for social and environmental justice. His projects demonstrate a desire to engage with underserved communities and incorporate sustainable design. He brings to the table new modes of thinking, creating, and problem-solving that he hopes can help resolve some of the issues and inequities we face today.

Regardless of what might be happening in the office, Julian is always quietly drawing. His sketching is a manifestation of the artistic sensibility he brings to his work. In fact, his design background extends far beyond architecture to encompass making furniture, art, and sculpture. He is a broadly talented person who has chosen architecture as his profession. The result is creative, fresh, new perspectives for Caddis clients.

Julian has personal and professional connections to cohousing. When Julian was growing up, his family lived adjacent to and were active associate members of Cherry Hill Cohousing, a long-standing community in Amherst, Massachusetts. He also worked for Laura Fitch, one of the country’s leading cohousing architects, before she passed away.

Outside the office, you might find Julian at local makerspaces, on a football pitch, on his fixie, or in the community, serving as a volunteer. Julian received his B Arch and BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and is actively pursuing licensure.
