- Project Type: Commercial
- Location: Boulder, Colorado
We have completed a number of projects for Naropa University, a Buddhism-inspired contemplative university in Boulder. We are especially proud of the Pamela Krasney Pavilion, a vibrant space between two existing buildings on the Arapahoe campus. Previously an unused and somewhat derelict space at the university, the pavilion is now a vibrant gathering space that welcomes students and visitors as they enter the south side of the campus.
Adjacent to a café and a student lounge (which we also designed) and situated between the Performing Arts Center and the Sycamore classroom building, the pavilion acts as a key node in campus life. We were delighted to help transform the space to one of the most uplifted places on campus. Now visitors flow out from the Performing Arts Center into this beautiful space, and students gather in small groups to study and chitchat between classes.
This modular project used a prefabricated steel structure with insulated metal panels.
