Germantown Commons is a multigenerational urban infill cohousing community of one-story flats and two-story townhouses. A large interior central court serves as a common space. Facing this common space is the two-level Common House, which includes a community kitchen, lounge with fireplace, children’s playroom, guest rooms, laundry facilities, yoga room, and large dining room that opens out to a large screened-in porch. The site is landscaped with rain gardens, vegetable gardens, and rainwater catchment systems.

Sustainable measures include passive heating \ cooling and energy efficient construction, along with the utilization of renewable, recycled, and historically appropriate materials throughout the project.
