Located in Boulder County, Hillside School educates students with dyslexia and other learning differences through a personalized learning environment. A nonprofit, independent school, Hillside is a half-day program for students in grades 1 through 12. The program focuses on individualized instruction in reading, written language, and math. Students attend their traditional school for the remainder of the day.
Beyond conducting a Boulder County Special Use Review and Entitlement process, Caddis has worked closely with the Hillside team to create a new building design, allowing the school to serve more students. The environment will foster the type of multisensory and individualized learning that is fundamental to Hillside and that will provide inspiring spaces for students, teachers, and parents. It will be a wonderful new facility that will architecturally reflect Hillside’s innovative teaching approach in a setting that provides quiet outdoor space and nature play opportunities for the students. We are helping this wonderful community resource as it evolves.
