One solution to the housing crisis is to update existing housing stock so that it provides a diversity of housing options. Rehabilitating existing housing to make it more relevant is also the most sustainable strategy. One such location in central Boulder is Horizon West. With 11 stories, this established, tower-style, mid-rise condo building straddles a beautiful branch of Boulder Creek.

Caddis reworked the building’s ground level to reconfigure the common amenity spaces to modernize them and bring them up to what residents currently want and need.This included new interior finishes, flooring, painting, lighting, and an updated common kitchen. With the rise of Amazon and DoorDash, we enlarged the package and mail delivery areas to be more functional for residents.

Updated design shows that there is plenty of life left in older buildings!
