Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center (RMERC) is a rustic, Buddhist retreat center located a 30-minute drive into the foothills from Boulder, Colorado. The center brings Buddhism into the natural world, where it originated, and fosters “ecodharma,” the clarity and compassion needed to better address the ecological crisis and inextricably related social justice issues.

Caddis secured entitlements and designed this interior renovation of an existing historic three-story, 3,900-square-foot wood lodge, with special consideration given to RMERC’s values of serene space and sustainability, on land that is controlled through a conservation easement held by The Nature Conservancy.
