Spring Drive Residence is a new construction custom home, located in the desirable and exclusive Spanish Hills neighborhood of Boulder County.
The single-family home is spatially formed by three boxes, angled to capture the amazing mountain views to the west through the house’s expansive windows. The main living areas of kitchen, dining, and living are in the center connected to nature via a large patio, with the children’s and guest bedrooms on one side, and the primary bedroom suite with office and exercise room on the other.
The roof profile has been kept low, around 22 feet above existing grade, with low-sloping, cascading shed roofs, minimizing the visual impact the home will have on the upsloping site. Throughout the house, vaulted ceilings open to daylight and feature exposed steel beams.
Sustainable measures include a large solar PV array, geothermal heating and cooling, and reused, green, and durable materials. In addition, natural, fire-resistant materials were used wherever possible, allowing the home to withstand the 2021 Marshall Fire.
