Dharma Ocean Foundation, headquartered in Colorado, is a descendant of the “practicing lineage” of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, widely recognized as one of the great Tibetan teachers of the 20th century.

Dharma Ocean’s goal is to “provide a path to spiritual realization that is clear, direct, accessible, and imminently doable in the modern world. It is all about fully inhabiting our life and our world as sacred; it is about becoming a complete human being and finding our true place within the infinity of being.”

When Dharma Ocean came to Caddis Collaborative in 2017, the organization was planning a move from its space above a pizza shop in north Boulder to a 3,700-square-foot space that would house sacred spaces, administrative spaces, and technical spaces. The result was a facility with three meditation rooms, offices and conference rooms, and a recording studio and green room for visiting meditation luminaries who record meditations or lead online classes.

For the meditation spaces, Caddis chose natural wood and simple finishes. One of Caddis’s tasks was to display sacred pieces that are significant in the Dharma Ocean lineage.
